50 years!

To think about 50 years makes my brain hurt. This is double how long I have been alive! I can not in my little brain really fathom what 50 years of life would be like, much less 50 years of MARRAIGE. My grandparents Jim and June Strickland just celebrated their 50 year anniversary this last weekend. What a cool cool thing to get to celebrate. Josh and I have been married 4 years and we have seen alot change in our country and have experienced a lot of change with in our household, so thinking about what my grandparents have gotten to see and experience is beyond where my thoughts can travel. I have truly enjoyed hearing their story and seeing pictures of their journey together as they have accomplished so much together.

I'm having a hard time imagining what I may be like in 25 years when I hit my 50th birthday or what Josh and I will be like in 46 years at our 50th anniversary but I pray that it is something great. I hope our story is one that not only looks good to our kids and grandkids but to those we see and interact with on a day to day basis. I pray that our marriage points people to Christ and that we model to those we meet what Holy Matrimony is. We fail, and horribly at times but by Gods grace we get back up and I hope our legacy shares that story as well.
